Flavoursome
Today I cooked and ate my fine veg harvest: all 19 grams of runner beans. They went through the slicer beautifully and tasted delicious. Never mind the quantity - the flavour was quality. And another year, when I'm at home more, I shall try again.
Set against this modest harvest, Mr PP and I did pick 9 ozs (256g) of blackberries. Cooked those with some of my sister's homegrown pears and the five raspberries (!) into a lovely crumble - delicious with ice-cream.
The weather has gone distinctly cooler today, though still with largely blue skies. Autumn beckons ...
