1500
4+ years in, I’ve still managed to take and upload a photo every day. Opportunity for subject variety is not quite what it was – I’m no longer spending half my week travelling the country with my work, instead being based in one location. So it seems appropriate to ‘retire’ my Mr Benn avatar, as the sense of adventure in seeking a daily blip now rarely involves much travel.
So today was another day when I got home from work with no photo taken . So a last look at my Mr Benn avatar becomes my 1500th blip, and I’ve replaced the avatar with a crop of the photo that I took a couple of weeks ago for World Photography Day. Even then, that picture didn’t turn out as I’d hoped; it was a grey day, and I thought the photo would have looked better if taken on a brighter, clearer day – but hey, we work with what we can get! (Today the weather was just foul, so no chance to improve on the photo again). Isn’t it interesting that you can plan to blip something on a given day and it doesn’t work out, or you can struggle for inspiration to find anything that you think is suitable, and yet other days you struggle to select one of the many great photos you’ve managed to take that day!
I’m grateful for all the views and comments on my journal, and am sorry that I’ve not had the time to view or comment on other journals for the last couple of months or so; hopefully that will change again in the coming weeks. Here’s to the next milestone …
