Wild Eidelweiss

The Swiss National flower and very different from the thin petalled ones in garden centres. I had just said to Helen and Francoise that I had not seen any this year. Taking a rarely walked path down from the Plan Névé hut, we saw three very large blooms! The dew on the flowers earlier, was quite extraordinary so here are a couple of extras. What a glorious walk, we encountered only 3 other people and two lovely lady hut guardians all day (and 5 marmots and 2 chamois far away). The local peaks are turning pink as I type this and I wonder what I have done to deserve living in this most beautiful of surroundings.
