Watching and waiting

This summer has been such a good one for so many flowers, wild ones and garden ones, for butterflies and bees for now for short eared owls.  I've seen quite a few recently, never close enough to get a really clear shot, but this one through the car window is the best of today's.

Mike is home, so I made pasteis de nata (Portuguese custard tarts) to welcome him back!
