Autumn?

Although at times the weather seems summer-like there are the first small signs of autumn appearing.  I went for a walk to Shottery this afternoon and spotted two or three chestnuts that had dropped from a tree, it's not a conker harvest yet, though as I was taking my pictures one or two open ones fell, or were dropped by some predator in the tree tops.

I went into Anne Hathawy's, having renewed my annual ticket last week.  The crowds have eased off now that schools back. It was nice and peaceful in the woods and grounds.
