Tommaso’s

Tommaso’s is one of San Francisco’s oldest Italian restaurants, and it is still so good that I try to go at least once or twice a year; this photo was taken on my latest visit, earlier this week. 34 years ago, I went there the night before my first and only child was due to be delivered — “To bulk up on carbs,” my husband said, as if I were an athlete about to engage in a major competition. (In the event, my son turned out fine, despite the sudden influx of calories.)

100 blips is nowhere near the same as 34 years, but I wanted to put up something today that commemorated the passage of time.
