We took coffees and croissants and spent the morning with these guys, talking about what they see the needs to be on the streets. It was sooo good to listen to them. Essentially what came through was they want people to really care about them. They gave me some great ideas on how to engage with more people. Darren, next to Asha, has declined a worrying amount in recent weeks - he's hardly recognisable here. Whilst we were sat chatting, Sole from Sa Penya came up and joined us. SOOOOO wonderful to see her.
This afternoon Jud and Barbara had the kids whilst I led a prayer walk for the latest 2 week team of volunteers - a good and encouraging time!

Today I'm grateful for;
1) Salomé's generous heart - she had a book (Peter Pan) for Asha and insisted on giving us both a pair of her earrings she no longer wears. So kind!
2) The insight into what the needs are - assumption is so dangerous! It was an honour to listen to them...also heartbreaking hearing some of what they had to share. They really are treated like nothing.
3) Watching Asha and Nate interact with various differing folk today.
