Charles Cross Church, Plymouth
The remains of this seventh century church stand in the middle of a roundabout in the centre of Plymouth, as a reminder of the devastation caused by the German Airforce during World War 2.
Much of the city was flattened and then rebuilt after the war, in stark concrete.
Much of this post war architecture leaves me cold and depressed so I decided to blip one of the few remaining beautiful buildings, albeit roofless, windowless but still very much, full of soul.
Thanks to steveng for hosting the widwed challenge
