Bus Pass Walk - goodbye to Whitby
After a great breakfast at our lovely hotel we made our way down into town via Pannett Park. After a last look at the bridge and harbour, and a quick shot of the Bark Endeavour ship we went to the bus station to board the Coastliner. Great view of the North Yorkshire Moors from upstairs, and we also passed the MOD’s Radar Early Warning Facility on Fylingdales Moor. This replaced the giant “golf balls” which used to be a landmark around here. This radar station resembles a giant audio speaker! Arrived in Leeds and caught one bus, only to miss our connection to the village by seconds as the lights changed. Taxis for 8 then! A very enjoyable few days away.
