Barbed

Perched watching my progress with the dogs, this common darter male was hoping we would throw up some insects as we passed. 

Certainly not as many insects around now here as there used to be. By the brook in Kemerton this area was awash with damsels and dragons a few weeks ago but this afternoon all I could even get a glimpse of was a common darter pair.

He followed me all the way down the fencing. A happy and heavenward looking darter in the Extra.
