Makars’ Court
It has been nearly 30 years since we moved back to Edinburgh and we have never been to Gladstone’s Land, the National Trust’s property in the Lawnmarket. Today we rectified this and went along; it has magnificent painted wooden ceilings in Scandinavian style and some hefty wooden furniture that came through the windows, as they do in Amsterdam. After a relative lull last week after the festival ended Edinburgh is once again full of tourists, this time in large groups. My blip is a group in Makars’ Court as seen from the ‘Georgian’ Room in Gladstone’s Land.
Yesterday’s blip.
