The Former Stables

Our Home is part of a group which comprised the Church, the Beadle’s House and the Community Hall.

All three buildings are now separate properties with their own owners and all are homes.

Today’s Blipfoto shows the stables which are built behind the Beadles House.

The Horses pulled the Minister’s carriage and were kept in the stables during any religious service.

For a time the second owner of the property used the building as a printer’s Studio which necessitated the removal of the original interiors.

At the same time he "modernised" the cottage removing all of the external features which could be termed "cute". A shame, but I do have some photos of the original design and all can restored.

Quite a lot of the original interior features remain.

We are back with blue skies and warmer weather.
