wot no tail

It was a case of dodging the showers today as I went to photograph a barn conversion that a developer friend is renovating. I caught this great tit in my garden, he appears to have lost his tail. I'm not sure whether it is due moulting, it is the right time of year or whether he had a close escape from a predator. In either case he flew OK.
