Working week is finished - hurrah . There is a national ‘pause’ since May in health service recruitment , due to a massive blunder and over spend on the new National Children’s hospital in Dublin . It will be the most expensive hospital in the world when it’s finished, est cost of 2.2 million per bed. Everyone has to pay for it but especially the health service . We are 50 midwives down just in one hospital , a lot of difficult choices are required to keep a service going with those kind of deficits . So Thurs eve and a glass of veno with Hubs is a good start .
We’re building a shed and the wood is being delivered tomorrow - a busy and exciting long weekend ahead .
