30 years on...
When we first viewed the house we are in some thirty years ago we stopped off on the way home to talk excitedly over a pint about what we couldn't afford. That pub was the Tally Ho in Winchburgh and it was an unwelcoming dump. Today we spotted that it has been born anew. Refurbished in a nice airy atmosphere, good menu with some unusual quirky things, great staff and dog friendly throughout (probably not the kitchens). Best of all a big enclosed garden where wee Murdo spent ages zooming about after his new ball. Other patrons obliged by throwing the ball too. The wee scone is fair exhausted, and I am stuffed full of a huge steak on ciabatta sandwich. They also do light lunches, so if you want fish and chips but not humungous portions that leave you debilitated all afternoon that's grand. So impressed I even left a gratuity! Me! that is a rare occurrence I'll have you know. Then we discovered a brilliant butchers across the road, just popped in for some black pudding for Sunday morning rolls then £40 later...
Well chuffed. Good afternoon out.
Happy weekend peeps.
