A watery end...

..to 2012, in Shrewsbury at least, as the river went into full flood mode. Fortunately it is a fairly regular occurence and most of the town is old enough to be sensibly built well above the areas that flood, so mostly it is the riverside paths and a few car parks that are out of bounds. Or not out of bounds, actually, since yesterday I'd been out and bought a pair of wellies so I could get through most of the shallower bits (only in one place did the water unexpectedly get deeper than top of one boot - cue damp socks and squishy noises).
