The bravest little street in England

We had wondered why there was always wreaths on the side of a Thai restaurant. Closer inspection, and an article in our local magazine, shows that during WWI there were 60 houses. Of those 60 house 161 residents served in the war. King George V called it the ‘Bravest Little Street in England’.

Now it isn’t even a street. Just a gap between the Thai restaurant and the public loos towards a car park. But a nice little nugget of history!
