Lake Monger

We haven't been here in ages, the lake was a hive of activity, baby ducklings everywhere, A pelican swam out of the reeds so regal like, the two black swans above were having a fine old chase 'catch me if you can' they scattered the babies that seemed to be just finding their feet, we sat for our picnic lunch here facing all this activity.
Above us all this time were two baby rainbow lorikeets peeping from their hole in the tree (extra) their parents were sitting above them on a branch looking down, the babies must have been told to stay put, this is as far as they would dare come from their nest, too cute.
We had a 3.5km walk around the lake after lunch, it felt good to have the sun on our backs with a light breeze blowing, it was a lovely day.
