Villa Monastero

This morning we took the ferry over to Varenna to check on the gardens at the Villa Monastero in Varenna. Generally I think the gardens at Lake Como are at their best in Lake Spring. However the garden at Villa Monastero looks good whatever he season.

We had a light lunch at the cafe in the gardens before returning to Lenno on an afternoon ferry. It was a bit cooler this evening so we decided to have dinner inside.

On arrival at Varenna we had been slightly surprised to see a seaplane at one of the jetties in the small harbour. I though it was worth having an extra picture today.
