Stained glass at Wightwick Manor
Today F and I went to see Wightwick Manor at Wolverhampton. It's been on my list to visit for years so was glad to get there at last and I was not disappointed.
It's a stunning house built by the Mander family in 1887 (although looks much older) and furnished in the Arts and Crafts style with work by William Morris, Dante Gabriel Rossetti and other Pre Raphaelite artists. It is full of blip possibilities but I chose this beautiful stained glass window and the extra is of part of the extrerior of the building.
Afterwards we went to New Cross Hospital to visit a friend who is recovering from open heart surgery. He had a valve replacement after his repair failed. I hope that my valve repair holds as I wouldn't choose to go through the op again! It was strange going as a visitor after being a patient there just 6 months ago.
