The Windmill
I have lost count of the number of times I have been to The Windmill in Stratford upon Avon. This is probably the first time I have walked round the corner and seen Church Street so empty! I whipped my phone out quickly and took this picture. By the time I got my camera out of my bag, one hundred people would have arrived, or so I thought. I had to catch this rare moment and the tour bus on the other side of the road was a nice bonus.
Meeting FrankS for the first time in ages was great and the pub was unusually empty too. I assume everyone is fed up, spent out or just more tired than me. It was a lovely couple of hours of catching up and putting the world to rights as usual. Now that I am cutting back my trips to Ayr, just a little, I will hopefully get more Saturday afternoon sessions like this in the pub! Yes, I know I am a disgrace!
Now would someone please explain to me why there is hardly anything on TV on Saturday nights? There are 5 things on tomorrow and my recorder will be going crazy! I wouldn't mind but I must have an early night tomorrow before office joy on Monday. That is assuming I don't win the lottery tonight. Oh dear! I forgot to get a ticket again. So much for that. Next week eh?
Track? A bit different to my normal but a beautiful song used as the theme for The Thomas Crown Affair film (1968) - The Windmills of Your Mind
