The hungry tortoise

Yeaterday evening we should have gone to a friends surprise 50th birthday. Unfortunately I was not feeling too well so we had to give it a miss.

This afternoon we called in to see the birthday girl and take her a present and card. The party had been a great success with over hundred people keeping it secret and waiting for her arrival. She met up with family and friends after lengthy absences and said it had been a wonderful experience. She is a lovely, caring friend and deserves every moment of happiness.

It was warm and sunny in Debbie and Mark's garden and we sat outside. Their tortoise, named Spice, was a source of amusement as he tucked into a couple of juicy strawberries.
