Hats at the ready!

A chilly start to the day ! Turned out to be a beauty of a day! Especially in Braemar, drive up through Perthshire was stunning & we arrived in the village in time for a coffee before heading to the Princess Royal & Duke of Fife Park who the games are held each year & the Royal Family have attended since Queen Victoria rein
Lots of activities ...... Highland dancing, Tug of War, athletics, tossing the caber, throwing the hammer, putting the stone and the mass pipes & drums
Lots of very smartly dressed spectators men in kilts , ladies in stylish skirts & jackets with a touch of tartan
My visitors from Wisconsin loved it all! And the sun shone all day while we there!

A very grand day indeed!
