Home Church

Wonderful to be in our own church again morning and evening. It was a day to concentrate on the children and young people, and to commission a young man we've known since before he was born, as a trainee minister. He's just come back from eight years in Japan with a Japanese wife and a child, it will be a huge adjustment for them.

Gratefuls:
- in the Catholic church we're part of in Portugal, we're not allowed to take Communion because we weren't baptised as Catholics; here we were asked to help serve it, feels good to be included again, and not on the fringe
- having the family for a roast chicken dinner that worked, though we forgot to turn the oven on and Mike had to run home in the middle of the service to switch it on
- wandering down Newhall with Zion and Allegra, picking blackberries and getting our feet wet in the stream, they are such good company
