Starlit night and thunderstorm... - Backblip

The main pictuce is showing the sky to the North at 8:00 PM, a few minutes after the sunset. Just 45 minutes later the sky was amazingly starlit but there was also thunderstorm going on somewhere in the Southern direction; I saw the lightning and had to check where - see the radar map to the left. Three hours later there were still a lot of flashes of lightning, the thunderstorm hitting the Finnish coastline.

I have never experienced something like this; you sit at the Swedish coast with clear sky above you and look at lightnings (maybe) 250 km away!
