Bug Invasion

This area is not exactly free of annoying little insects that seem to wait for my arrival to suck my blood at every opportunity. Mostly in the evening. I would not mind so much sharing a little of my blood with them  if the after effect was not so irritating.

Today we were down in Lenno to try a new restaurant for a light lunch. It was good enough, though we thought a little expensive compared to other similar places in the area. Lunch next to the Lake today was also a little cool, slightly too cool for comfort.

On entering the main piazza in the village we were amazed to find there had been a bug invasion while we had been having lunch. About 40 VW Beetles from the 1950s and 1960s had invaded the village, and were displayed along the lakeside promenade. In the Piazza there was a very good rock band playing hits from the 1950s. We stopped for a while to admire both the cars and the band. Whoever had organised it also seemed to be giving away tasty nibbles. We passed on this offer having only just finished lunch.
