On the Farm 2

The view of the barn across the pool with its silo waving hello greeted us each day. Love red barn.
Byron heads off to rake the last of the hay into windrows. those rake discs look like sunflowers to me! (extra)
The second extra shows the contour farming that is proper for these rolling hills. Photos flatten it, but it really is rolling landscape. You're walking at a slope everywhere. This is called The Driftless Area....more about that later.
My job? Feed the chickens and gather eggs. Gotta get after those birds early....and it's a bit cool this morning!
