The Lights Come Down...

...not without a struggle.

I watched our neighbor take down the Christmas lights from the tree in front of his house today. He was having to pull hard on some of the strings to free them. I wonder if they'll survive all that stretching.

Some people go to a lot of trouble to decorate their houses each year -- others not so much. Count me in the not-so-much group, or the bah-humbug group, if there is one.

I don't think the pole is going to be long enough next year.
