"Press as you sew!" My Mom and 4-H leader drilled that into me more firmly than I'd realized until now.

I spent some time this afternoon appliquéing partridge and pear onto a gift bag that I didn't quite complete before Christmas. The late afternoon light was pretty in the kitchen where I was cutting out bits and I wanted to capture that more than what I was doing
