This the ice cream version of 'Blackout Cake' originally created and baked by Ebinger's Bakery in Flatbush, Brooklyn in the 1940s.
The cake was a chocolate layer cake filled and frosted with dark fudge and chocolate cake crumbs.
Moving on to the ice cream...YUMMMMMM!
