Memories are made of this.

It is our  49th Wedding Anniversary today, so we went out for a meal at lunchtime.  The pub hasn't changed much over the years, in fact when my father was about nineteen, he used to visit the pub on his motorbike with his friends.  As you can see it's a whitewashed longhouse and is no ordinary country pub, being a grade 11 listed building which dates back at least to the reign of Edward 111 during the fourteenth century, This is owing to it's connection within the remains of a medieval monastic grange ( a fram owned by monks)the layout of which can be seen at the back of the pub. The food is reasonably priced, and the service was excellent.  From there, we went to Cowbridge and called in Waitrose for a few nibbles to eat at home later.
