This is a very nice spot but it requires a 40 mile round trip to get to it and two climbs, each about two and a half miles long. The inclines aren't quite Grand Tour grade but still a test for these particular legs. Café is behind us, pub in front. A pint (just one) would've been very acceptable but the Beachy Head climb lay ahead. Coffee and cake it is. I'll have a jar afterwards.
