Family baker since 1919.

Fisher and Donaldson; their state of the art bakehouse, shop and cafe tea room in Cupar. “A fifth generation family baker” understates the case .... a boulangerie, patisserie, confiserie and chocolaterie. They’re renowned for handmade rolls and breads, croissants and a huge range of individual biscuits and cakes, custom made cakes and a large variety of pastries, and savouries. Oh, and not to mention handmade Belgian chocolates. Their fudge doughnuts are incredibly popular - they’re cited in Wikipedia and in Instagram! My wife enjoys one as a treat; some day I’ll photograph one - it’ll be a mouth-watering picture.

We stopped by for a cuppa and a snack, as we’d an early start this morning, and a wet drive East. As good as last time. I used to visit here with colleagues sometimes. Never disappointed - a quality business that tries hard. They’ve also two shops in St Andrews, four in Dundee and another in Cupar.

We’d a walk down the beach this afternoon. A stormy evening is forecast.
