Digging with Dada

... for potatoes on Chris's allotment, and parsnips. And picking green beans. All roast in the oven with corn chips and cheese, along with Nanny's beetroot and carrots. Yum.

Mike's swapped two doors, which involved adding 2cm to the bottom of one of them, which meant sharpening his great-grandfather's saw with a file (most of his tools are in Portugal). And taken a cupboard off the wall. And mowed the jungle out the back. And got some wood from the Re-Users to mend the garden furniture. And I've been sanding and filling and painting. And taking photos, of course.

Gratefuls:
- progress on what we came to England to do
- Zion carving me a small potato friend "so I never need to be lonely again"
- going with Deb to pick them up from school, what a lovely place it seems; an amazing playground, with trees and grass and small hills and a vegetable garden and even a small woods, it looks such fun
