Rain, rain, go away!

It's been raining absolute buckets here in Portland! Last night it rained so hard that the water found its way into our kitchen ceiling and out the light fixture! The last time I remember seeing such a deluge was in Mexico during an August monsoon. What's up with that?

So I donned my rain jacket and went out to the garden this afternoon in yet another rain shower to see what was going on. The garden seems to be enjoying the wetness, although the 2" from yesterday was a bit much. The anemones in particular seem to be thriving, hence today's blip.
