Hamburgers, Hotdogs And Hymn Singing!
The 55+ group was at it again enjoying hamburgers and hot dogs..The church provided the main courses and we brought our favorite add-ons. The program for the night was a rousing time of singing hymns that we chose by calling out the page numbers. The deal was that if Daniel knew the song, he would lead it---and, if he didn't, the person who suggested the song would have to lead it! We were in very little danger, because Daniel knows a LOT of songs. Our hymn singing was accompanied on the piano by one of our extremely talented accompanists. Deani did her usual spectacular job of accompanying our singing, but when asked to play something on her own, she entertained us with a delightful journey from her first piano lesson with her mother to playing at Carnegie Hall with several stops in between, all the while maintaining that she only knew one song! I hope you get a chance to hear it someday---it was hilarious! Then, as we were leaving, we saw a bit of a rainbow to wrap up this wonderful evening. The only thing missing was you, if you weren't there----and Miracle Whip.......
