Grange over Sands

Another nice day.  Once upon a time I am told the sea lapped against the prom in Grange and you could board boats for a trip around Morecambe Bay from a wooden jetty and swim in the seawater lido.  Over the years the main channel of the River Kent has migrated towards the Arnside bank leaving Grange over grassy marshland for all except the highest of spring tides.  There do seem to be signs that the channel could be moving towards Grange again so maybe sometime it will live its name again. There is also an active project to revive the lido as it has been abandoned for at least the last twenty years and looks sadly derelict.
