Llyn Padarn and Llanberis Pass
Windy and wet when we woke this morning, none too worse for yesterday ‘s exertions (so far anyway, the stiffness may set in later as we sit on the train to London for 3 hours)
As we had breakfast the rain abated and a clearance came from the west. We were able to walk for a few miles along Llyn Padarn and stroll along the Main Street of Llanberis village calling in for a coffee and scone to top off the huge breakfast we had at the hotel.
Today’s blip is looking over Llyn Padarn towards the Llanberis pass with the Glyddr Mountains to the left and the Snowdon foothills to the right. As we passed the Snowdon Mountain Railway crowds of people were disgorging from coaches for their trip to the summit.
That amply filled the time up to catching the bus to Bangor to pick up the direct train to Euston. Pretty good, if cramped journey to London. There’s not much stretch room in these Virgin trains.
We stopped for a meal in London, catching a later train to Bearsted. All good but glad to get home after an epic day yesterday. Food shopping from Tesco still to do yet.
