Scare Owl and Friend

This curious Praying Mantis was boldly sitting atop the scare owl I had positioned on our mailbox, to deter the birds who like to perch and leave behind their messy deposits. I only hope he doesn’t get spotted by said birds! As I got closer with my phone camera, he swiveled his head around to stare at me curiously. Such alien looking creatures, but I like them!
