Scary log

Someone has placed a big log and a we are watching you sign at the end of the bridleway. Buddy clocked it about 100m away and needed a lot of persuasion to go past! After a bit of prancing about he decided it was OK to go and sniff it, then give it a lick! It's a bit pointless as there is space for a car to go round either side of it.

Emergency vet had to be called to one of the older horses at the yard. His back legs went. He had a similar episode a couple of weeks back. I helped the owner keep him on his feet whilst we waited for the vet. He was in a bad way, then rallied as the vet arrived. But sadly had to be put to sleep. Raised some sad memories. I never saw my old boy Jack go off his feet, but I guess it was something similar. Really feel for the owner. They've been together a long time.

We went back to the yard for Eva to ride Jack after school. He was a little spooky tonight. The log upset him a bit too. Mike collected Tobes on his way home from work and they went out with the dogs.
