FED

Today, in OU world, is FED. This is a big event which used to be celebrated with Bacchanalian excess and even - or so it is believed - some discreet Yalding (those not familiar with this practice should follow the link). At midnight tonight we enter the period known as TSA which is like Lent but without the belly-laughs and pancakes. It's a period of spreadsheets and calculations and slight panics when the numbers don't add up (or are not easily divisible by 22). TSA leads us to Approve & Notify which is on the 25th. There are two FEDs a year, the smaller one is in January but when we only had one it was the January one. Up and down OU land people will be wishing each other a happy FED but there are fewer FED cards exchanged, I think it's become too commercialised.
