Early Happy Birthday

I took the afternoon off and travelled over the Pennines so I could take Mum out for a meal for her birthday, which is on Monday.

We walked to the local Italian. The food is always wonderful and the staff are so friendly and fun. I had told them it was her birthday so, when we ordered dessert, they brought it with a candle and the music playing Happy Birthday. The manager then came to talk with her and said she reminded him of his mother "who is only 80". He said how well Mum looks and when they brought the bill he also gave her a hug and a bottle of wine to take home for her birthday! Thoroughly spoilt. :-)
