Matera fact!

Simple day today.  Drove to Matera to have a look at cave homes.  Quite spectacular conglomerate of buildings which are effectively external extensions to the caves which are no longer occupied.  Apparently they had been occupied for between 7000 & 9000 years, but we're deemed unsuitable for human habitation back in the 1950s.  Now a World Heritage site.
Oh, and we now know where Dali's elephant lives.
