Sun Buoy

I love taking photographs in the Winter, the light is fantastic and interesting and one of my challenges has been to take a black and white photo but shooting in colour if you know what I mean. This has been surprisingly easy on Easdale Island where the landscape is very rocky and monochrome, coupled with a heavy sky and a grey sea I have quite a few 'black and white' shots. So then I decided I wanted to do a black and white shot with a blast of colour. The sea provided this sun-like buoy for me and my goal was scored! This shot is completely unedited.
