Potting shed
Today was another weirdly mild day for January. Him indoors was holed up in bed with a heavy cold so I thought I'd take the opportunity to get some jobs out of the way that needed doing outside.
First came the once a year cleaning out of my van. I chuck plants, landscaping materials & all sorts of rubbish in there willy nilly, and it'd reached bursting point. It's a sadly satisfying task, but as beautiful as she now looks even I won't post a photo of that (as the year goes on I might get desperate and resort to that!).
Next was the hosing down of the greenhouse. I should have done this weeks ago too, but as the worlds worst procrastinator I put it off until now. Again an oddly enjoyable task, mainly because I know I'll be able to start using it in earnest in the next few weeks.
And lastly, tootling about in the potting shed. I love my potting shed. It sits in the bottom corner of the garden, overlooking the surrounding fields. It even has 2 wee windows on the doors that make it look like its looking at me as I approach. Mucked about in there, potting up some plants & sorting through some seeds.
It feels great to have been outside for so much of today, now off to put the stove on & put my feet up for an hour or two.
