Old Bricks

In an attempt to stop Flora digging under the new fence some additional bit of timber and old bricks were put along the bottom of it (see extra). Even she can't jump over this but she was managing to squeeze under it in a couple of places. The fence is quite a structure but it'll look better once I get some taller shrubs along it. It's not that we don't get on with our neighbours, quite the opposite, but my neighbour is a plantswoman and has plans for espaliered fruit trees.

I don't know how we came by these bricks. They must be superior as there is a whole book available about the manufacturer published in 1907. Just some of the things kept for a rainy day. And here they are in use!
