January Yellow

We spent quite a while out in the garden today. I've been watching these lovely yellow flowers from the kitchen window for a while. They are looking really cheerful, even when it is dull. I especially like the witch hazel. The Winter Jasmine keeps rooting and I pot up the plants and pass them on. The mahonia is a real survivor. We bought it as a 'rescue plant' and it grew into a sort of palm tree shape. Then we had to move it twice. 'A' has promised it that we will never move it again.

We even had a cup of tea in the garden! I did some sorting in the greenhouse and planted some tulip bulbs. 'A' scrubbed the terrace. All this after we did two sorties for litter picking, covering the route where we spotted all the cans and bottles the other day.
