Archipelago in monochrome

First time I got a composition at this spot that I am satisfied with. Perhaps it worked out today because we had high water.  There was another angel that would had needed  a wider focal length. Maybe my next camera investment should be a wide angel to my Fuji system? The widest I got at the moment is the 23mm. Any suggestions? I am open to primes and zooms.
