Prawns in the Pork (after Terry Wogan)

We’re on the coach waiting for the stragglers to get on before setting off back to Maidstone.

We’re been to see Proms in the Park and to participate in the rousing singing of the second part of the last night of the proms. It was another glorious late summer day with warm sunshine, a vivid sunset and mild enough even at 11.00pm.

The performers were not all to my taste although most of the crowd thought otherwise. Top of the bill was Barry Mannilow who was welcomed with rapture and gusto.

Trying to find our way back to the coach in the dark with 40,000 others was a challenge. My unerring map reading skills brought us safely to the vehicle. It’s worse than navigating on the hills.
