Sunset at Tout Quarry

Portland didn’t disappoint giving us a glorious first evening. Our friends regular visitors to the peninsula so were delighted to act as tour guide once we’d had a coffee and a chat.

The first stop was Portland Bill to see the lighthouses. I was surprised at how many people were there to watch the sunset. I forget that life goes on after teatime! Our next stop was Tout Quarry to see the sculptures in the fading light. Our last stop was by the Olympic Rings with a view over Chesil Beach towards Weymouth. My camera couldn’t do it justice.

It may be a small place but there’s lots to delight a photographer!
